The Kete (Maori woven carry bag) pendant, woven in Solid Stg.Silver(925).
Beautiful and detailed replica's with an insert of pounamu in the centre kete.
Pounamu, or New Zealand Greenstone prized for it's strength and colour.
In Maoris tradition the kete represents a container or carrier of wisdom.
It represents a people, community, nation, world, prospering through the quest for education and knowledge, of both the Tapu or sacred, and the practical.
This example is on a black woven cord with a silver catch which can be adjusted to length.
